Im sorry if question has been asked before, but never has there been a question that has made my mind change more often.....I think its human to fear death, but the unbeliever will tell you that they fear death because they fear the unknown....I pray for them, but even with my faith I still find myself fearing the day I pass...
Please post your thoughts..

if there's one thing common among us, it's our destiny! & that's death!
kung sarili ko lang iniisip ko, i'm not afraid of death! if this is my last lifetime & i'd be seeing god when i die, i think i can say to him that i followed, for the most part of my life, the golden rule!
but if i think of my love ones, especially my parents, mga bagay na pinangako ko sa sarili ko na ibibigay ko sa kanila na di pa natutupad, yeah, i fear death! feeling ko, ang dami ko pang dapat gawin! & feeling ko rin, i haven't really served my purpose on this earth!
but then again, naiisip ko, why would i fear death even if there's that feeling of unfulfillment! if meron man ako unfinished business, god is good to let me live another life to finish that unfinished business and eventually serve his purpose of allowing me to be an earthling.

Kaya lang naman takot ang tao na mamatay ay dahil hindi siya handa di ba? Yung paniniwalang "survival instinct" ay sinira ng mga "kamikaze pilots" noong WWII. Pero kung na kay Cristo tayo...
O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? --1 Cor 15:55
Just remember, after death ay ang paghuhukom na...
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: --Heb 9:27
Kay Cristo ang kamatayan ay pagtulog lamang at ang mga patay ay bubuhayin muli...
He went inside and spoke to the people. "Why all this weeping and commotion?" he asked. "The child isn't dead; she is only asleep." --Mark 5:39

Everyone who is born, dies. It is just a part of life. It's ok to be scared of it, but just remember that it's not the death part that matters, It's how you lived when you were alive.
I'm not scared because I know what is in my heart. I will be taken care of. Life is just a short part of time , compared to the eternity that your spirit will be here after you're gone.:)

True,we are appointed to die,but that time is not necessarily predetermined, though God knows when.I believe that God usually allows the natural course of events to run on its own. Therefore, anythi ng can happen at anytime....There are things we can do to prevent an early demise,i.e. eat right, exersice, dont drink or smoke(i do smoking though hehehe),drive carefully, don't drink and drive, don't do stu-id silly things that are dangerous, watch out for cars while crossing the street, any number of things....Remember Hezikiah in 2 Kings 20,who was sick unto death, yet cried out to God for healing. And God granted him fifteen more years. The commandment to honor one's mother and father comes with a promise of long life(Exodus 20:12).Paul warns the Corinthians not to take the Lord's Supper unworthily for in this cause many fell asleep, that is died.(1 Corinthians 11:27-30).....I'd convinced that death can come anytime, certainly,bu t that God has plan to each one of us.Whether or not God allows us to live may depend on how we allow ourselves to live within His will.

I'm not afraid to die, but I am afraid of dying early and leaving my 6 year old daughter without anyone to take care of her. My wife passed away last year, and there were times I couldn't sleep, afraid that I would not wake up in the morning.
That said, I am actually more afraid of the living than the dead. Teenagers who can commit arson and murder because their parents scolded them or refused to give them money for driving lessons...

Our Father in heaven has assigned an angel for every child on earth.
"Beware that you don't despise a single one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels are always in the presence of my heavenly Father. --Matthew 18:10 NLT
Huwag daw tayong magalala...
32 Why be like the pagans who are so deeply concerned about these things? Your heavenly Father already knows all your needs,
33 and he will give you all you need from day to day if you live for him and make the Kingdom of God your primary concern.
34 "So don't worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today's trouble is enough for today. --Matthew 6:32-34 NLT

I believe everything is upon God's hands.
I'm afraid not.
Worrying of things left behind?
Worrying of my love ones?
Believing everythin is upon His hands.
There's nothing to be afraid of.

Just for my thought:

Just my thought: whether we like it or not, we are destined to leave this physical world in order to enter the next world where we will live for eternity. We were once in our mother's womb surrounded by water. We (with the nutrients coming from our mother) were then growing every parts of our bodies to prepare us to the next world outside the womb, surrounded by air. If our lungs had failed to develop when we were inside the womb, we wouldn't have survived living on this earth. We were then enjoying our womb's lives but its not our destiny to live there forever. Its similar when we leave this physical world. If we passed this earth without practicing love, who among us is ready to breathe the air of true love in the next world? I think our life on earth should be a life nourishing our spirit by practicing God's love to our family , to our society, nation and even to the world in order to prepare us for the next world of eternity. For those who did, death was not a scary thing. Christ was not scared, Buddha, Mohammed, Confucius, and the saints in the past were not scared, Mother Theresa was not scared, Rizal and others who have loved our country were not scared. And for those who are not scared, they may have a Happy Deathday(maybe a Happy Birthday in the next world) as if its their Happy Birthday on this earth. What do you think? Are you scared?

God told Adam & Eve that if they ate the fruit they would die. They ate the fruit, but they lived for many years afterwards. God did not mean they would physically die if they disobeyed Him or that physical death would be introduced into the world, but they would lose contact with God. God is the source of truth and love and life. We have lost God and mankind has been living in darkness. Our conscience gropes for truth and true love.
First John 3:4 says,"... He who does not love remains in death". Love here means God's love. We do not love as God does so we are dead, no matter how active we may be on this earth. In Romans 6:23 we read,"The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life,"and Romans 8:6 "To set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the spirit is life and peace.
First Corinthians 15:22 says,".... in Adam all die ...."

at first, that appears to be a really tough question. but when you think about it real fast...<hehe, like what i did>, i'd say: No. i ain't afraid of death. when i was in 2nd year highschool, we had a new CL teacher <Christian Living>, though now they changed the subject to CLF <Christian Life Formation>. well anyhoo, this certain "new" teacher was really strict and he keeps on twisting our brains with questions like "why?" just plain why...!!! and if you can't answer the question, you won't be able to get out. the only person who was able to get out was the person who answered "why not?"! we really thought there was nothing good to him but time came when we had to talk about death,,,, and fearing death and all that. and he actually told us that there is no need to fear death. for death is not the end. it is only a transition... from our earthly life and earthly ways. he said that each one of us shall be dealt accordingly. and it was because of him that i now do not fear death. i have only lived 17 years, 40 days and 13 hours but if He wants me by his side, i'll take a leap of faith and trust my creator. i'd be sad though... but as they say, when God empties your hands, He's preparing you to get hold of a bigger blessing He has in store. heheh...
opinion ko lang po.
sorry napahaba.:)
Godbless!
