help me repair my pc

any body can help me.am using windows xp home edition assembled lang ito.the problem is hindi ko magamit yun microphone,testing ko pa lang nag shut down na.i can hear sounds but i cant record my voice.

hello pach-x. bago ko sagutin yung tanong mo pwede bang malaman kung:

- ano ang mic na gamit mo
- first time mo ba itong ginamit o dati pa
- saan mo kinakabit yung mic sa PC mo
- saan ka nagrerecord ng voice mo
- yung naririnig mong sounds, yung sound ba ng PC like yung windows xp sounds or yung mismong boses mo pag tinatry mong magrecord

1. am using logitec and this is'nt my first time.my newly assembled pc might have a problem

2. I almost verified all from control panel up microsoft Help fotunately di pa rin okay.i followed all the instruction given.

3.during the mic test i can hear the speaker sound, so i can also hear music using windows or just cd.the main problem is one way lang siya i can hear but they cant hear me.

have you tried checkin the volume control? kasi merong advanced options dun for playback and recording.

go to control panel > sounds and audio devices
go to audio tab > sound recording > volume button
try mo check yung volume dun

then punta ka ulet sa audio tab > sound playback > volume

Did you install the correct driver for your sound card?yung sinasabi mo sa una mong post na open mo pa lang nag shutdown na kaagad,sintomas yun ng hardware failure,maaaring may hindi ayos sa set-up mo!check mong maigi.Then who cant hear you? Saan mo ba ginagamit ang mic mo? SA Yahoo messenger ba?Kung sa ym may setting doon sa preferences,calling and audio,tignan mo rin doon.Pag ok naman baka naman sa kabilang pc ang may problema kaya hindi ka nila marinig?Post mo na lang uli kung anong nangyari ha?:)

to make it shorter my pc is doing fine that i can use it good except my mic where in i cant use it in any purpose except listening to sounds.i want 2 chat 2 my friends but i cant use it.upon clicking the chat window and the instruction ng pc nag shut down na. and have tried it several times.

* anong model nung logitech mic? ... alam mo kasi kahit na mumurahing michrophone pag pinlug sa tamang port , gagana yan.. usually color pink yung port.
check mo muna :)

Hello K. Doc, wala naman pong error message. I also tried to record my voice, naririnig ko naman po. I tried also to off yung personal firewall sa Norton Anti-V e di ko pa rin marinig yung nasa kabilang line. Bakit kaya. Pero it was working before. I am using the same headset I used to use.

Hi summer.. check your connections carefully. Unplug the microphone jacks (usually they should be connected to the pink-colored ports; with the microphone logo). Try to wipe the connector, in case of oxidation or dirt build-up. Plug them again until they are flash to the port.

check this also >microphone set-up (in case your problem may be ym-configuration related ) hope this helps :)

i already tried it shut down pa rin,
sa control panel pa lang un sounds and audio device,sa portion ng audio meron test hardware doon pa lang nag shut down na,pasensiya na makulit yata ako.

Parang sa device driver yata yun ng sound card mo pach-x. Try mo download uli ng driver para sound card mo. Ano nga pala makikita mo pagshutdown? Patay kaagad ang power o magblublue screen?

pach-x...when you say shut down, your system completely shuts off?
i've done some backreadin..you said you were able to test your mic before without your PC shuttin down pero hindi ka makarinig ng sounds

try mo check ang device manager baka may conflict sa drivers. ang naiisip ko lang na mga possible causes ay

- driver conflict
- grounded mic
- sound card problem

pero most likely software or driver problem lang sya.

you can check the driver by right clicking on my computer > click properties > hardware > device manager

then check mo sa sound video and game controllers kung may exclamation point

pach-x kung blue screen sya usually may stop error message. kahit yung number ng error message man lang ipost mo. most likely driver problem pa rin yan kung nagbublue screen.

Hello! Update ko na lang ito sa mga nagresponse sa post ni pach-x, yung pc nya inuwi ko dito sa bahay kagabi, binili raw nya sa p? de p?, pero hindi na kayang irepair ng technician nila at rekomendasyon palit ng motherboard, nag shu-shutdown nga sya ,system failure, binaklas ko at check ang pagkakagawa ,at nalaman ko na may mali sa gawa nila , Ngayon ayos na ang pc ni patch-x at pwede na syang kumanta habang nakikipag-chat!!!HE!HE!HE!Infi nite tama ka , hindi rin ayos ang pagkakainstall ng mga drivers,parang nanghuhula lang yung gumawa ng pc nya!Kung titingnan mo sa device manager walang error at missing drivers pero nung ichineck ko ng aking magic software nakita ko kung saan kaagad ng trouble!HE!HE!HE!San a maawa sa akin si pach-x at iblow-out ako?joke!!!:D:D:D

Yung Norton Antivirus nga pala ,ininstall ko uli,good for 90 days pa naman yun ,pero di ba nasa iyo naman yung license ,registration code,i update mo na lang sa kanila,baka pwede pa!:):)

or i'll call u later May binago ka na naman sa setting???????Wala akong nakikitang error,maliwanag sa sabi mo not initialized di ba parang dis-abled yun?Clue,kung maayos naman ang takbo ng pc mo hindi mo na dapat binabago ang ibang set-up kung hindi ka siguradong maibabalik mo sa dati,minsan yung mga simple na kalikot ang nagiging dahilan ng malaking trouble lalo na pag hindi na naibalik sa dati! :eek:
