http://www.timog.com/gallery/files/7/three_seasons_thumb. jpgYesterday, a Vietnamese friend came by and asked me to make a DVD copy of a film about the great transformation of Vietnam and its people called Three Seasons (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three_Seasons). She said that she and her friend cried when they saw it, and that it was so good that she wanted me to copy it for her. When she left, I thought "hmmn, if it's really that good maybe I will watch and see for myself".
I did watched it, and it was indeed a beautiful film - I was deeply moved. Shortly after watching the film I wrote following lines:
An Extraordinary Couple
The night knows when the stars want to be back
for she always paints the sky with black
to make her little friends dazzle and spark
theirs are love and friendship - complete and exact
But then the wind comes in
and with it follows the clouds that blurs them
great distances make the stars flicker
and the city lights join in to win her
Fear not these interventions
time has witnessed great continuations:
All these will come to pass
but the night and her stars will last
For the night will always arrive
and the stars will always be bright
And though the night is swiftly fading in to light
and the stars are already losing their might
again tonight when she arrives
they will shine again like I do when you're beside
