copy & paste PDF file for J-E dictionary...pls help

TF enthusiast:

I recieved a letter/document(hard copy) in Japanese and I wonder how could this document be translated or at least the kanjis are readable then translated it's meaning to English.
I figured out, first maybe I could scan it using scanner so the format will be PDF file(which is usually the default).
ANYBODY in this forum knows how PDF file(treated as one image) could be editable so that I can COPY and PASTE the kanji characters to any electronic dictionary or the one here in RIKKAI (Japanese-English) translation online.

hi! open up your pdf file, just save in text format. now open ur saved file and choose/copy/paste ur kanji's on rikkai..hope this helps:D

Hi Hamlet, if you scan the document and even make it into a pdf file, correct me if I'm wrong but I think the whole thing still couldn't be read by a computer (you can't copy and paste it for example).

You can scan the document and use an OCR software to make it a text file, then you can translate it.

ang PDF file po ay ginawa or aim gamitin para sa mga official document trought internet...
hinde po puede ma cut and paste ang PDF sa txt... maari pa is trough OCR,,,

pinaka dabest best way para maedit ang PDF ay through acrobat...

dalawa ang klase ng acrobat... yong acrobat reader which is by default ng reread ng PDF mo at ang isang acrobat writer na puede mag edit ng PDF mo po...

me license po ito sa pag bili or kung me madownload ka ng trial version try mo po...

...or puede mo gamitin si pareng GOOGLE para mag hanap ng PDF writer po na free license...
