Patience, a minor form of despair disguised as a virtue...and according to Woodrow T. Wilson, all things come to him who waits - provided he knows what he is waiting for....
but...waiting time is the hardest time of all....and there are times that patience proves at fault....when you have waited for so long and it never comes....
are you a patient person? for how long can you endure.....time, love, sorrow, pain...is there a limit at which forbearance ceases to be a virtue?
your thoughts and stories are most welcome!:)

PATIENCE is a VIRTUE
..it takes a lot of courage & strength to be PATIENT
I'm a very PATIENT person,'coz I believe that
"There is always a RIGHT TIME for everything"
"MAPAKLA ang lasa ng prutas kapagka HINOG sa PILIT"
..sabi ng matatanda sa atin, kaya it's not a big deal for me to wait,
even if it takes forever....

honestly i'm quite impatient. before i graduated, i was already lookin for a job cuz i want a job in an instant. that's why 2 weeks after graduation, i landed a job by acceptin the very first job offer i got from all the companies i sent mah resume to. i've been impatient wit love, impatient wit waitin...in fact, i was fumin ballistic everytime mah ex bf let me wait for 15-mins to a maximum of an hour when we were goin out.
i will only wait if it's worth waitin. only 3 months to go...

Patience goes along way toward your goal of creating a more peaceful and loving self...without patience ,life is extremely frustrating.. you are easily annoyed, bothered and irritated .. Since I don't like to feel that way I try to open my heart to the present moment even if I don't like it ... It's essential for inner peace. :)

Cretainly it is and I would have to agree only if we are talking of the long term goals (kahit naman sino mahihintay for the reason of betterment). But it does not usually apply to all types of waiting game, what If the person I am scheduled to meet is running 20 to 60 minutes late or more, I think it is not fair and without worth playing the wait. (ano sa palagay nyo?) Occasional waits siguro pwede pa especially accompanied by an apology. For me, it is still a very good practice to always bear in mind that time is valuable and that being on time is important.
On the other hand, taking a pause and wait, while letting and entertaining other's thoughts and ideas pay a lot sametimes.
"Good things come to those who wait", "don't rush life" and "Patience is a virtue". Sounds very cliche to me and always been drummed into our ears since childhood. Assuredly, it is a virtue indeed and a necessary one. :)

SORRY,to MISLEAD you.
I'm pertaining to long term targets.
..just like in business, there's the so-called "JACKPOT"
that comes once in a lifetime.
I am patiently waiting for 'IT' while working,
that's why I said forever.
for short term cases,as I said "There's always a RIGHT TIME for everything"
which explains clearly as it is.:)

Fortitude of one’s self brings out the virtue of Patience. Every circumstances in our daily undertakings lies beneath patience. It is the power to endure, to give it on more try until you never realized you have lapsed more than three times giving it another chance and doing things without complaint.
But us as human beings, we tend to pull over from our grounds and we cry out for retaliation over things unachieved, prolonged wait, test of faith and many to mention that tests our capacity of tolerance.
When I was yet in college, I tend to pitch at my goals of running away from time to see the other side of the fence, which means climbing the corporate ladder, being addressed by subordinates Ma’am, having my own private desk in the office….but….how could I reach there without going thru every step of the way? I just wanted to achieve all my desires in one snap of a finger! In life there’s no shortcut. Those people that took the shortcut or the fast lane have had their fallbacks later on. It’s best to take the long route and reached home safe and sound.
It took me couple of years to comprehend what it meant to be told ‘patience you’ll get there just in time”. It might be my strong faith that wheeled me to be a patient person; I believe that God has his ways of putting things for us, His plans can happen to us in His time and Not ours. It can happen to you if you’re strong at heart too.

@geminigirl, sistah, you're in very melancholic state i guess! :)
yeah, sometimes, we can't help but wonder how long does we have to wait! is there really something in the store for us? & is it worth the wait? are we just holding on to something that is not meant to be? indeed hard!
& those questions linger in us especially on those days that we can't help but feel blue!
i don't know if i'm really a patient person. maybe i am coz i'm still holding on to something. i believe that if the God above permits it, it would really happen.
that's faith! i firmly believe that there's one great hand that maneuvers everything.... & if it's his will, he will reward you for being patient.
i think, patience and faith go together!
& we all need that! to survive in this great big place!
on the other hand though, there are things that patience and faith just don't apply. we hold on to something that is not really meant to happen! we're just afraid to face the truth.... acceptance is the key!
spencer bishop says in "who moved my cheese"... you should know when to hold on to the cheese and when to move and find another cheese....

from what i've read from your posts (which apparently shows most of you are patient), patience is not only a virtue, but a sacrifice. but sacrifices can be very tricky things. you need to make them consciously. but you never have a guarantee that they'll be worth the effort. nevertheless we just have to keep on going, one step at a time. wait til all the waiting's done. maybe we should not be intimidated and turn back. life is not a race despite what others may think....
it takes a lot of patience to wait....for the right thing, for the right time... for the right one....
@gb, girl am not. gotten over with it......
to the rest, nice reading your inputs. salamat po!:)

It took me 3 years to grow my 2 pots of Sampaguita and I need to carry them in and out of our underground room, inside our house and then bring them outside. What a test of patience! Now I can say, "It's worth the time of waiting for every single Sampaguita flower!" What a beauty and scent, indeed! :)
