The Lake House (iL Mare)

Last saturday, we watched Keanu & Sandra's movie "The Lake House" at Toho Cinema, Higashiura, minsan lang ako magka hilig sa mga love stories, but this movie really surprised me!

The story is really not that amazing, but theres something on it that makes you watch it again, best moments are those cheezy scenes, with added music background by none other than Sir Paul McCartney "This Never Happened Before"

Actually , this movie is a remake of Il Mare, a Korean movie, I've never been a fan of korea movies but since i saw the dynamics of their scripts and it's spontaneous delivery (specifically MY SASSY GIRL) , i'm looking forward on seeing other korean movies as well. I have yet to watch the original korean movie but will surely compare both.

This movie is a must for those "love buffs!", but if you have issues on keanu's gender, prior to seeing this movie, it's up to you, although "sweet november" with charlize theron gave us a "flat keanu acting", i think he tried more this time.

It's quite interesting how the conflict of the past and the future was reconciled. I liked most the end twist that changed their fate and brought them together. Loved the soundtrack, too!

I recommend that you watch this with someone special...
so you can share that "kilig" effect....:D :p

okay sana e..kaso di ko gusto keanu-sandra loveteam. buti pa sa speed okay yung chemistry nila. kulang sa kilig factor. well..sakin lang naman yun. pero napanood ko din yung orig korean movie, di ko rin masyadong nagustuhan. i will give it 2 out of 5 stars...kung tragic ang ending i'll give it 4.

Keanu and Sandra tandem will always be click for me...what I love best in this movie is the house at the lake, it sends chills to my spine.....what would be the feeling even to spend a vacation in that place?

I heard there's a couple of loop holes in the end? might be the time travel issue ? hmm it's probably worth checking out .:) agree doc. the plot is ok...the setting, which is the glass house by the lake...the kilig effect. but the flaw here is how they finally met each other at the end of the story, why it didn't happen in the earlier scenes considering that they were, in a lot of times, in the same place except for the 2-years difference....well, that's the paradox of time travel!

I've seen Il Mare but I haven't seen The Lake House.

Generally, I don't watch American remakes of foreign movies, especially Asian ones.

I like that movie too kahit di ko mapanood kasi di pwede si baby sa moviehouse i just watch thge trailer on the tv. Anyway i`ll wait for the dvd na lang to come out:D

..in fairness,naiiba ang dating ng Lake House,talagang transparent s'ya.
hindi romantic ang dating sa akin,parang gusto kong makipaglaro dun ng tago-taguan?
