Mathematically speaking, isn’t this better than buying Takarakuji?

hi mamimo san,

Philippines is not eligible in this program but if you're married to a natural born Japanese, and his/her country of birth is Japan, then your spouse can apply in this program.

pls read the following details below:

@ benihana san,

I read the link which you referred. It is stated there that "if you are married with a Japanese Spouse, you will be eligible to apply for Diversity Visa in the US because you will carry the country of your native spouse and not your own country. Meaning both of you will qualify to apply for the Diversity Visa.......

tanong lang po.....opinyon na rin....

Joining the lottery daw for citizenship is not a good idea. Kasi raw when you'll go to apply for a tourist visa more likely na matanggihan ka kasi nga yung pagjoin mong yan sa lottery is maging basis pa sa hinala nilang mag-tnt ka don. Kasi once you intented to become a citizen na di naman pinalad na mabunot.

Naintindihan nyo?? May tama ba ang point of view na to?? O sadyang mali??

hi elena,

kasi nang mag-join kami sa lottery last year naka-kuha na ko ng tourist visa, as to the hearsay I cant reply to that kasi pag na-deny ang visa application never nilang sabihin reason so hanggang conclusion na lang tayo sa parteng yan:)

Good afternoon mamimo san:)

Thank you for this healthy discussion, I should have elaborated more my answer and if I have sounded indiscreet to you, well sorry for that, I didn't mean anything at all. At any rate, allow me to further discuss the issue.

What I was trying to say is that a Filipino by blood and whose country of birth is Philippines is not eligible to join this program PROVIDED that they must be married to a foreign national whose country of birth is eligible such as Japan. However, the

primary applicant must be your Japanese spouse and you by virtue of being married

to an eligible applicant may then be granted a derivative Diversity Visa.

10. May a husband and a wife each submit a separate entry?
Yes, a husband and a wife may each submit one entry if each meets the eligibility requirements. If either is selected, the other would be entitled to derivative status.

The answer to this question is perfectly clear, yes, you may each submit one entry "IF EACH MEETS THE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS." Meaning, if you are a Filipino, definitely you are no longer eligible. That's why your Japanese spouse will be your knight in shining armour.
