Tears In Waiting

Sitting....

.....staring at nothingness.

Soon, I noticed,

tears trickling down my cheeks.

"Why?"....asked my husband "Why?"

With eyes red,

I turned to him.

In his ears I whispered....

"I'm waiting for a reply..."

He looked at me straight in the eyes,

His hand covered mine and

His silence urged me to continue

And so I said...

"They are taking time."

He wrapped his arms around me

to console me...

comfort me...

It was evident

he loves me.

He doesn't want to rush me.

So i took his face in my hand,

my breath on his face.

I told him bold faced...

"Sometimes....

I wish...
