Tungkol sa Sumo-wrestling
琴欧州(kotooshu)
Pinaka-guwapo si Kotooshu na taga-Bulgaria.
As a new Sekiwake, his record is the best in history of modern sumo.
Right now he was lost to Yokozuna Asashoryu, but still remains 12-1, top of the tournament.
Asashoryu is 11-2, and he is aiming to his 6th consecutive win of the tournament, unparalleled in history.
In short, dalawang dayuhang wrestlers are now making history of sumo.
GANBARE, Kotooshu! And ganbare foreign wrestlers.

since talo si Kotooshu at panalo naman si Asashoryu, tie na sila ngayon , 12-2 pareho standing nila.
last day na bukas, in case na pareho sila manalo tomorrow , ano ba ang rule ng sumo with regards to TIE?

In that case, they will fight a "play-off".
In sumo, it is called "yuusyo ketteisen" (優勝決定戦).
In other sports, the word play-off is used, as "Purei ofu"
In order to allot time for the ceremony, last day (sensyuraku 千秋楽)'s schedule is about 30 minutes earlier than ordinary days.
I guess Kotooshyu will fight sometime around 5:10 tomorrow.(Sunday evening)
If there is a play-off, it will be around 5:30, I guess.
Kotooshu came all the way to Japan, to send money to his family back home.
And he must be sending maraming pera, purihin si Yahweh.

Same as what i have read sa English Magazine, si Asashoryu pala ay taga Mongolia and Kotooshu ay Bulgaria. Many Japanese are hoping na ang susunod na Yokozuna ay pure Japanese. Pero sa tingin ko may susunod talaga, yung tumalo kay Kotooshu, 3rd sya sa standing and ang nakakabilib , he is only 19 years old.

I was hoping that Kotooshu would win the final match. I got so nervous just watching.
But I guess, it is not yet his time - wait for a few months-
hopefully, he will win and get bigger - soon no one will beat him -
he is tall, strong, and good looking...
:) (I know looks has nothing to do with sumo though...)
But of course, I also wish the Japanese sumo wrestlers -
beat the guy from Mongolia.
(Sorry, but - am not a fan of this Yokozuna...)
Takanohana is still no. 1 for me as the true Yokozuna.

From today, (8 Jan 2006), January Grand Sumo Tournament begins.
I can't wait to see my favorite Kotooshu makes his way to victory.
For your information, Sumo Kyokai has English home page;

Kotooshu came all the way to Japan to send money to his family. (Halos lahat dito sa TF din.)
That he lost a match means the money he would send to his family disappeared.
But I am sure he is sending millions of yen a year to his country.

Koto-oshu changed his kanji from 琴欧州 to 琴欧洲、adding sanzui to the left of the third letter, thus making the number of strokes from 6 to 9.
The first letter has 12 strokes; the second letter has 8 strokes.
According to the report the new name is better than before in the numbers of strokes.
I don’t believe in such stroke things, but what it reminds me is that Kotooshu is flexible enough to accept suggestions from Tanimachi, a group of rich guys supporting his stable.
I hope he will get better results next time.
Frankly speaking, his recent records were talagang disappointing.
