japantoday A UN sponsored report found the richest 10% of adults in the world accounted for 85% of the world’s total global assets. And a fifth of this wealthiest 10% is home to the affluent Japanese. United Nations University World Institute for Development Economics Research study, however, also revealed the apparent state of inequalities, which hardly justify half of world's adult population owned barely 1% of global wealth. I talked about this issue with several Japanese people and they were all doubtful about the results.
It was because they may be getting a lot of money, but everything here is very expensive, as you know.
Also most of them are not particularly happy and have a lot of complaints or physically and mentally sick.
As other articles sa TF top page shows, a lot of Japanese are feeling miserable, working hard and tired.
To me, this reinforces my faith.
Materialistic success, promotion, money, alahas, all these worldly things are in vain. (Walang kabuluhan.)
Of course, it’s not bad to have these things.
As you read the Old Testament, God rewarded people with richness occasionally.
If a pastor insists on enduring poverty as an only way to go to heaven, then it’s a cult.
What I want to point out is that richness alone does not make you happy, because there is no end to the quest to it.
“Count your blessings, you are already richer than most people on this planet.” I told them.
