This is good news.
I’ve been praying I want to read good news.
You know the recent bad news.

1 The Yokohama guy is now dead, because a mad dog bit him.
2 A Japanese guy was shot dead because he didn’t give his purse to hold-uppers.
3 Mudslide killed a lot of people.

At least Prime Minister Abe visited Philippines, though he was very busy.

It was January 2004, when then Prime Minister Koizumi visited Manila.
Next year GMA visited Japan.
There were several agreements or treaties that were signed at that time.
But the progress is yet to be seen.

Introducing more foreign workers to Japan can only solve Japan’s problem of declining birth rate and rapidly aging society.
Philippines must be a good choice.
It has a history of providing good work forces.
And is always friendly to Japan, though China and Korea have been always hostile and makulit in accusing war crimes or Yasukuni Shrine.

I hope the news coverage of his visit will give good impression on Philippines to Japanese people.
