this is scary! i'm not well-versed about this stuff, but according to wikipedia (buti na lang meron wikipedia :) ), global dimming creates a cooling effect that may have partially masked the effect of greenhouse gases on global warming, which is the more alarming environment issue. needless to say, global dimming may lead some experts to underestimate the greenhouse effect.
for your added info, here's an article (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/4171591.stm) from bbc news.
so sir mark_15, does this mean that the assumptions depicted in the movie "the day after tomorrow" are really possible?
