I agree that people should not be cruel to animals. But the opening logic of the video is out of range. It says, "once you've watch the video you'll understand why so many compassionate people decided to leave meat off their plates for good." I don't know what's the relationship between eating meat and animal cruelty. Is he telling us that if we don't eat meat cruelty to animals will stop? Well, that's just crazy logic - and totally unrealistic too!

These organizations often miss the point. If they want to raise awareness then they must learn to control their passions and give a balance and realistic assessment of the problem.

i agree.mali yung opening nu`ng video.
I don`t say na let`s stop eating meat,I know it`s a difficult thing to do,especially meat is one of the main sources ng energy natin.We can`t just switch to be vegetarians.I myself,eat meat ,but after seeing that video,i just can`t ignore it and go on eating.

To think kung pano nila tratuhin yung mga hayop,parang bagay,yung baka,binitin sa isang paa,winagwag,sinaksa k.Yung piglets,hinampas hampas,papatayin na nga lang.Tinutusok tusok,sinisipa sipa,binabato bato.We can`t just let the meat industry continue treating the animals like that,even they are worth just for eating.So i think,mababawasan yung animal cruelty,if we won`t buy their goods.Especially yung mga cheap meat na imported.

I understand your sincere concern, but who's meat are we suppose to refrain from eating? We cannot say that all cheap meat from abroad are produced by cruel people. The video depicts all men working in the poultry industry are cruel, but evidently, this not true. There are poultry workers who are cruel and violent, while there are also those who love the animals they tend to. They are just like you and me going about their daily lives trying to find a living. What will happen to them when their work place shuts down?

You see, the moment we go to the extreme is the moment when all the good causes we strive to achieve get distorted. Refraining from eating meat will not stop cruelty to animals. It is only the passage of and the strict enforcement of laws against animal cruelty that will do that job.

Back in the Philippines, I have seen for myself a 'Swift' chicken grower (contractor for swift foods). It was clean and organized. The chickens were well fed (not overfed as what was shown in the video) and given vitamins to keep them healthy. The owner maintains it this way because it was his livelihood and Swift corporation required them to maintain a certain standard.

The video shown is obviously a propaganda by the 'vegetarians' who own the website. They have carefully picked out the most cruel videos taken of the supposedly inhumane way of slaughtering these animals. There are many livestock, hog, and cattle raisers in the western world. Some of them are terribly inhumane but I think a lot are not representative of what was shown.

Naiintindihan ko na violente sa mga alaga ang mga taong nasa video. Pero hindi natin pwedeng sabihin lahat ng nasa poultry industry ay masama magtrato ng mga alaga nila. Ang problema kasi, supa_freak, hindi balance ang video. Kahit ikaw sa palagay ko naapektohan ka ng video, at iniisip mo na ganyan lahat ng poultry workers. Pero tulad nga natin, may mga mabagsik at mababait din sa atin. Kahit saan meron ang mga ganyan - mabagsik at violente. Pero hindi natin dapat parusahan ang lahat sa pamamagitan ng hindi natin pagbili ng mga produkto nila. Kailangan parati natin iniisip kung meron ba tayong nasasagasaang ibang tao na wala naman kinalaman sa lahat nakalagay dun sa video. :)
